Elie El Hayek
Elie El Hayek is a managing director and a member of the Global Markets Executive Committee at HSBC Bank Plc. and is on the board of directors of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association.
El Hayek started his career in 1994 at JP Morgan in Paris, where he traded FX and interest rate swaps. He moved to HSBC France in 1998 where he was responsible for euro rates trading in 2005 and shortly after that was head of rates Europe, and then global head of rates starting in 2008.
El Hayek is also a member of the SIFMA Rates Board.
He is fluent in English, French and Arabic.
Born in Lebanon, he holds a degree in mathematics and a master in Engineering from the ESIB (Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Beyrouth). He also holds an MBA from the HEC business school.
