Henry A. Fernandez
Fernandez joined Morgan Stanley in 1983, eventually working his way up to become CEO of its MSCI division in 1998. In 2009, Morgan Stanley spun off MSCI into a stand-alone company, with Fernandez as its chairman and CEO.
He also spent two years as president of HispaniMedia, a private equity investment firm, and before that founded Ferco Partners Inc., a Mexico City-based a private equity firm. From 1976 to 1979, Mr. Fernandez was a diplomat in the Nicaraguan Embassy in Washington, D.C.
Fernandez holds a bachelor of arts in economics from Georgetown University. He also earned advanced degrees from Princeton and Stanford universities.
