The Investment Industry Association of Canada (IIAC) is a financial industry association that aims to advance the growth and development of the Canadian investment industry.[1] It was formerly the industry association arm of the Investment Dealers Association of Canada.[2]

History

In September of 2009, industry associations including Investment Industry Association of Canada called on G20 finance ministers to ensure reforms promote open markets.[3]

Products and Services

IIAC represents the investment industry’s views and interests to federal and provincial governments and their agencies, and to self-regulatory organizations (SROs), in areas including securities and capital markets legislation and regulation, and fiscal and monetary policy. The association works to ensure legislation and regulatory policy implemented by SROs, securities commissions, government bodies and other industry entities recognize members' business realities and requirements.
