Milan Kratka is the CEO/managing partner of ArbHouse LLC, a quantitative trading and market making financial firm established in 2009 and based in Chicago. ArbHouse is a member firm of Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).
Kratka has worked in the finance and trading industries since early 1992 when he was hired by Kenneth Griffin as the first quant for what is now Citadel. Following that he spent years building trading models at TradeLink, running quantitative pricing and risk management tools for commodities at Morgan Stanley, and building equity trading robots and market making systems at Wolverine Trading.
He headed the energy trading desk and helped build FX and equity trading systems for Sun Trading. He was the first market maker in energy futures and options on ICE, the first market maker in Omani calendar spreads on the Dubai Mercantile Exchange, and the first market maker in weather futures and options on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Kratka earned a PhD from the University of Chicago in Mathematics in 1998.
