Sayee Srinivasan is acting chief economist at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). He was named to that position in December 2013 by Chairman Gary Gensler. Srinivasan joined the Commission in 2012 in the Office of the Chief Economist.
He has written articles for various trade and industry publications, and co-authored books.
Srinivasan received an MMS in finance from S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research and a PhD in economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
